Captive Power

SED POWER eUPS SERIES is unique in that it is capable of not only driving the regular lighting load but also normal PCs as well without any chance of rebooting due to its very fast transfer time, usually less than 3 ms. The series comes in different power capacities right from 250VA to 600VA with 12VDC input operation , while for higher wattages, DC input required is increased.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

It is UPS-CUM-EPS in operation. Fast change-over with continuous operation capability.

Latest MOSFET based PWM technology for more reliability.

Transfer time from mains-to-battery and vice-versa is less than 3ms. Additional unique feature is when mains resumes in the desired level, it waits for a few seconds before changing over to mains ensuring a steady supply availability.

Mains supply when in the range of 180V to 250V is put through to the load. When mains is beyond these limits, inverter is instantly on and connected to the load.

On-circuit protection for dangerously high mains input even up to 400V. The unit can withstand 400V mains continuously while connected load is instantly removed from mains and put to inverter output.

Inverter output wave form is modified sine wave. PWM adjusts the duty cycle to varying load so as to keep output voltage within manageable limits.

Short circuit and over load protection indicated by LED.

BATTERY LOW indication by LED with automatic shut down of inverter to avoid deep discharge of battery.

Over charge protection by built in circuitry which operates in dual mode. Initially full charging current of 6A max is fed till battery is charged to 14.4V and then fast charge is removed. It will keep battery in idle condition till it is 13V when again charging starts. This avoids continuous charging of battery and extends the battery life.

Reverse battery protection is accomplished by blowing of fuse provided on terminal strip where battery connections are made.

Five indications are provided on front panel: 1.Mains and Battery by two LEDs, Green for mains Red for battery. 2. Amber LED to indicate Bat-Low condition. 3.Amber LED to indicate over load or short circuit. 4. Charging On indication.

Built-in buzzer provided on PCB which will start pulsed tone at regular interval when battery has reached its 80 % capacity. This will warn the user that inverter is going to shut down soon. When battery reaches its lower permissible limit, it shuts down the inverter as well as the buzzer. This unique Advance Warning System is very useful as one is prepared in advance for the eventuality of inverter shut -down due to low-bat condition.

SALIENT FEATURES AT A GLANCE:

MOSFET based PWM design for regulated output of 230 V/ 50 Hz, modified sine wave.

Entire circuit on a single PCB with suitable connectors. No soldering / de-soldering required for fitting or removing the board in case of replacement of PCB.

MOSFETs with suitable heat sink mounted on the same PCB. Extremely useful feature for service on field purpose. Forced air cooling by fans.

Built-in Hi-Lo mains voltage protection. No need to separately have a protector. Unit can withstand 400V mains input. Connected loads are automatically protected from accidental dangerously high voltages.

AWS gives audio signals before inverter shuts down due to bat-low condition.

Reverse battery protection.

Over-charge and Deep-discharge protection.

High charging current capacity enables to use high capacity batteries for extended period of back-up.

Fast transfer time helps drive PCs and/or lighting load simultaneously without rebooting.

Single transformer design.

External battery of any capacity as per the back-up needs
.

HYBRID VERSION

eUPS is available in hybrid version to have the facility of harnessing the solar power to charge the batteries in addition to regular mains. Hybrid version comes with built-in charge controller upto 20A capacity. PV panels can be directly connected to the unit. Batteries can thus be automatically charged by solar panel and mains power simultaneously. Mains charging can be manually switched of, if so desired. Since charge controller has high current capacity, PV panels can be added as and when required to increase the percentage sharing of solar power. By employing additional solar panels, it can be made totally solar power generating system.

If mains failure is frequent and for longer period, hybrid version is the best solution as solar power is uninterrupted. Moreover, it helps in maintaining the clean environment as it is the Green power.
