SOLAR STREET LIGHT :

SED POWER Solar Street Lights are immensely useful as stand alone source of light on streets and in premises, gardens and industrial complexes. 

• These conform to MNES specifications.
• It is a packaged solar powered outdoor lighting system which provides easy and quick way of tapping the solar power.
• The systems are very easy to install needing no special skills, tools or expertise.
• They provide a steady source of light in areas where conventional sources of mains utility are erratic, unreliable or unobtainable.
• They are independent and self-contained and hence need no extra wiring or cables.
• They save on costly transmission losses

         NEW INTRODUCTION:

•  Solar street light is also available in Power LED version. The all-weather fixture comes equipped with 6/9/12 LEDs of 1W each. It comes equipped with dusk to dawn charge controller and high efficiency power saving LED drivers inside.
• Automatic dimming after preset time in the evening is optionally provided. LEDs are automatically put on dimming mode after 4/5/6 hours after dusk. This saves on panel and battery cost.

SOLAR LANTERN :

A Solar Lantern from SED is an excellent solution for light at homes where mains utility is unavailable. Based entirely on MNES specifications, it has the following salient features.

          SALIENT FEATURES:

Entire electronics housed on a single PCB with connectors for easy replacement without any need of desoldering.
It contains a high frequency, 27KHz, pure sine wave inverter to drive 4-pin, 7 W CFL with pre-heat technique to avoid the blackening of ends.
Inverter is protected against accidental short or open circuit conditions.
Charge controller is shunt type regulating with temperature compensation.
Very low drop out voltage to utilize the full potential of solar panel is achieved by a Schottky diode which also prevents reverse current from battery to panel at night.
Protections are provided against reverse battery connection, over charge and deep discharge of battery and short circuits.
Idle current is less than 1 mA for prolonged shelf storage.
Lumen output is constant over entire operating range of battery voltage.
Two indicators are provided to show the charging state and battery low condition by two LEDs.
Sealed maintenance free battery of 12V /7 Ah is fitted inside to give over 4 hours of backup every day.
10W solar panel with suitable cable for connection is provided.
Over 90 % of rated Lumen output is guaranteed after 1000 cycles of operations with 2 minutes on followed by 4 minutes off period as is mandatory by MNES.
CFL is fitted in base down configuration with 360 degrees orientation.

SOLAR HOME LIGHTING:

In standard package, two fans and two CFL of 11/9W supplied as electrical gadgets. 2x37W SPV panels for charging 70Ah/12V battery. The system can be custom made as per requirement by employing solar grade inverter of very high efficiency upto 1KW capacity. The number of batteries and panels depending upon the individual load requirement and back-up time desired on daily basis. Very useful for places where mains supply is erratic or unavailable. A SOLAR UPS  (pdf) operating entirely on solar energy and suitable to drive the loads like PCs, Lights, Fans, TV and such gadgets is also available in different capacities.

NEW INTRODUCTION:

A very economical solution is available for remote areas. It employs LED lighting. A control box houses 12V/7Ah SMF battery, 10Wp SPV,   3 to 4 LED bulbs 1.5W. The box has mobile charging output as well. Available in total package in ready to use form.

          SOLAR WATER PUMP: 

• If you need to supply water beyond the reach of the power lines, then solar power can solve the problem.  Photovoltaic powered pumps provide a welcome alternative to fuel burning engines, windmills, and hand pumps.  Thousand of solar powered pumps are working throughout the world.  These produce best results during sunny weather when  the need for water is greatest.

              Charge Controllers: 

SED charge controllers are available in both series and shunt type. They provide a cost effective solution for simple and well built charge control requirement in SPV systems. Charge controllers are available for dusk to dawn control as well. Dusk to dawn versions are available in two output versions for street lights with kiosks applications. A few models are available with on-board LED drivers with PWM dimming feature as well.  

Both the basic versions  are available in kit forms for OEMs as well as in moulded casing. The range include series and shunt type right from 1A to 20A.
